This is my first time purchasing a product from PNY, and I wanted to put it through extensive testing to benchmark its performance under full load after playing AAA games. I’m pleased to report that the fans remain incredibly quiet, never exceeding 45% fan speed, even during intense gaming sessions. The temperatures are impressive as well, with the GPU reaching a maximum of just 56°C while playing *Assassin’s Creed: Shadows* on ultra settings with Ray Tracing enabled.

In terms of performance, I was able to reach up to 240 FPS with the Multi Frame Generation (MFG) feature enabled. I’m using a Samsung Odyssey G7 240Hz monitor, and the MFG feature works perfectly, providing a smooth and fluid experience. The gameplay is incredibly responsive, with little to no noticeable latency, thanks to the raw power of the RTX 5080.

Overall, this is a fantastic card from PNY. I upgraded from the 4070 Ti to the 5080, and the performance jump is about 40% or more in certain games, which is a significant improvement.

I also double-checked the ROPS count, and I can confirm that none are missing.

The only downside I’ve encountered is the premium price, which is common across the industry. As of the date of this review (03/22/2025), MSRP seems to be a thing of the past.

One final surprise was the power consumption. The RTX 5080 consumes barely any more power than my old 4070 Ti, which was quite impressive. In fact, it appears to consume even less power compared to the older 4080 models.

The PNY RTX 5080 is a powerhouse of a card, offering top-tier performance and impressive efficiency. While the price is on the higher end, the value you get in terms of performance is well worth it if you're upgrading from an older GPU.
